eduVPN is a VPN service provided to the international research and education community. It aims to offer both secure access to campus networks and secure connectivity in public networks.

eduVPN service instances offered by NRENs or universities, research labs, etc., allow students, researchers and staff at participating institutions to get VPN connection on their devices to known endpoints.

eduVPN can be used for one or both of the following purposes:

Institute Access
This provides access to private networks where end-users can access internal resources within the internal network of their institute. This use case is similar to a typical VPN concentrator.

Secure Internet Access
This enables a secure and privacy preserving internet access. It provides trusted and secure gateways through which end users can connect to the internet when using insecure networks, particularly public Wi-Fi hotspots.
